Permit Requirement: A development permit is required before placing a portable sign on private property.

Zoning Regulations: The location, size, maximum number, and design of portable signs are regulated by the Zoning Bylaw.

Frontage and Separation: Portable signs are limited to sites with a frontage greater than 30.0 meters and must not be closer than 30.0 meters from another portable sign on the same site.

Maximum Number: A maximum of 5 portable signs are allowed per site, except where the site frontage is greater than 300 meters, in which case a variance may be considered.

Size and Height: The maximum sign area for portable signs is 5.0 square meters, and the maximum height is 3.0 meters.

Permit Duration:

  • For on-premises advertising: up to 365 days.
